Arindam Lodh, J

Heard Mr. S. Lodh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. D. Sarma, learned Addl. G.A. appearing for the State-respondents and Mr. Raju Datta, learned counsel appearing for the respondent-TPSC.

In pursuance of the directions passed on 30.04.2024, Mr. Ashim Paul, the Controller of Examinations, TPSC has appeared today. During interaction with him as well as learned counsel appearing for the parties it has been resolved that the disputes raised by the petitioners as regards the correctness of certain questions and their answers are to be re-evaluated by constituting fresh Expert Committee.

Respected Controller of Examinations, TPSC has submitted that the experts who had verified the question papers and the answer keys earlier, will not be included in the said new Committee of Experts and in the meantime, the main examination scheduled to be held on 3rd, 4th and 5th May, 2024 shall be deferred till the correctness of the disputed questions and the answer keys are re-evaluated and scrutinized afresh. TPSC will take decision thereafter and declare the result afresh, if necessary, at the advice of the Expert Committee.

Since the parties are agreed upon the aforesaid terms and conditions, there is no purpose of stretching the present writ proceeding.

The Respondent-TPSC and the State-respondents shall proceed as per the resolution reflected here-in-above, as early as possible for the interest of the candidates.

The Expert Committee will verify the disputes regarding certain questions and the correctness of the answer keys as pleaded and identified in the writ petitions.

With the aforesaid observations, directions and resolution the instant writ petition stands disposed. Pending application/s, if any, shall also stand disposed.
