Notice. Mr. Debakanta Mohanty, Addl. Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the State-Opposite Parties. Extra copies of the writ petition be served on him forthwith.
The Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO), Jajpur is directed to undertake an enquiry into the complaint that nearly 200-300 people suffering from kidney related ailments in village Kolagaon on account of drinking polluted water. The CDMO can constitute a team to visit the village and meet the villagers who are stated to be suffering and ensure that they are provided immediate and adequate treatment. A camp be set up in the village for this purpose within the next ten days. If any further assistance is required, the Collector, Jajpur in consultation with the Additional Chief Secretary, Health can facilitate the necessary arrangements for that purpose.
A comprehensive report be filed in this Court by the CDMO, Jajpur before the next date.
List on 26th April, 2023. A copy of this order be communicated to the Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha; the Collector, Jajpur as well as the CDMO, Jajpur for compliance.
