Judgment
Sandeep Moudgil, J
The present petition has been preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directing the official respondents no. 2 & 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of private respondents No.4 to 7.
Short reply filed by way of an affidavit of Dev Dutt Sharma, PPS, Deputy Superintedent of Police, Sub Division City, District Hoshiarpur, on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 is taken on record.
However, learned State counsel assures the Court that the representation dated 29.12.2025 (Annexure P-5) submitted by the petitioners will be decided within three days in the light of notification No.HOME-HM-40 40SECM/14/2025-2H4/63 dated 23.01.2025 issued by the Department of Home Affairs, Punjab, Government of Punjab (Home-4 Branch).
In the light of above, learned counsel for the petitioners prays for withdrawal of the present petition.
Prayer is accepted.
Dismissed as withdrawn.
However, the petitioners would be at liberty to avail alternate remedy by way of appeal as per the above-said SOP.
