Judgment
Anil Kshetarpal, J
Petitioner prays for bail pending trial in a criminal case arising out from FIR No.396, dated 04.11.2015, registered under Sections 307/382/323/148/149 IPC and Section 25 of the Arms Act, 1959, at Police Station A-Division, District Amritsar City.
Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Ram Singh, has submitted that the petitioner is a habitual offender, involved in as many as 25 more cases apart from the present one. He further submits that petitioner is a classified A-category gangster.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in this case investigation officer and other police officials are not appearing to depose in the Court, resulting in delay of trial.
Keeping in view the facts of the case, this court is not inclined to grant concession of regular bail.
Dismissed.
However, Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, is directed to ensure the presence of the police officials on the date already fixed for their deposition in the Court.
Let copy of the order be sent to Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, for compliance.
