Judgment
Arindam Lodh, J
Heard Mr. P. Roy Barman, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. S. Bhattacharjee, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners.
This is a contempt petition filed by the petitioners under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India for alleged willful disobedience of the court’s order dated 16.03.2023 passed in WP(C) No. 606 of 2022, which was subsequently corrected by order dated 24.04.2023 passed in I.A. No.1 of 2023 arising out of WP(C) No.606 of 2022.
Issue notice calling upon the respondent-contemnors to show cause as to why a proceeding under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act shall not be drawn against them, as prayed for; and/or why such further and other order(s) shall not be passed as to this Court may deem fit and proper.
Notice is made returnable within 6 (six) weeks.
The petitioners shall take steps for service of notice upon the respondent-contemnors within 7(seven) days by registered post with AD.
