Paramjeet Singh, J.—Crl.Misc.No.39077 of 2012 is allowed. Affidavit of complainant-Shuweg Singh Ahluwalia is taken on record. This petition has been filed by the petitioners u/s 482 Cr.P.C for quashing FIR No. 64 dated 31.5.2012 under Sections 307/336/323/506/148/149 IPC registered at P.S. Sarabha Nagar, District Ludhiana along with all consequential proceedings arising there from, on the basis of compromise dated 5.6.2012 (Annexure P/2).

Learned counsel for the petitioners states that it is a dispute relating to the elections of Municipal Corporation and the parties have compromised the matter in terms of Compromise Deed (Annexure P/2).

Learned counsel for the complainant states that complainant would have no objection, if the present FIR along with consequential proceedings arising out of it are quashed. The complainant has also confirmed the factum of compromise by way of affidavit taken on record today.

Consequently, in view of compromise (Annexure P/2) and keeping in view the law laid down by the Hon''ble Supreme Court in the case of Madan Mohan Abbot Vs. State of Punjab 2008 (2) RCR (Criminal) 429 and by the Full Bench of this Court in the case of Kulwinder Singh and Ors Vs. State of Punjab and another, 2007 (3) RCR (Crl) 1052, no useful purpose would be served in prolonging the litigation. The present petition is allowed. FIR No. 64 dated 31.5.2012 under Sections 307/336/323/506/148/149 IPC registered at P.S. Sarabha Nagar, District Ludhiana is hereby quashed and all the criminal proceedings arising out of the said FIR also stand quashed.
