This petition has been filed to suspend the sentence passed by the first respondent in M.C.No.56 of 2026/C dated 11.06.2026 on the file of the first respondent, and to enlarge the petitioner on bail pending disposal of Crl.R.C.No.1980 of 2026.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even assuming the conditions of the bond have been violated, the learned Divisional Executive Magistrate and Revenue Divisional Officer has no power to detain the petitioner in view of the judgment of the Division Bench of this Court in the case of P.Sathish @ Sathis Kumar Vs. The State rep. by the Inspector of Police Law and Order, H-4 Korukkupet Police Station, Chennai – 600 021 and another, reported in 2023 (2) CTC 817.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents seeks time to make his submissions.

Since the points raised by the petitioner require consideration, the order passed by the first respondent in M.C.No.56 of 2026/C dated 11.06.2026 is suspended.

Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered.
