Petitioners seek a direction to the respondents to grant family pension as also grant of lifetime arrears of salary and arrears of revised pension from the effective date of grant of ACP-II to petitioner No.1 being the disabled and eldest son of late Kailash Chandra Beura, who was serving as Constable with CRPF.
Learned counsel for the respondents submits there is a discrepancy in the record with regard to the name of petitioner No.1. As per their record, the name of petitioner No.1 is ‘Manoj Kumar Beura’ whereas he filed the petition as ‘Manas Beura’. He submits that a request letter has been sent to the Superintendent of Police at Cuttack to verify the same.
Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that this petition be treated as a representation to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner.
In view of the above, the petition is disposed of directing the respondents to treat the petition as a representation and dispose of the same within a period of six weeks from today. Respondents shall also ascertain from their record as to the details furnished by the late predecessor of the petitioner about his family members.
Further a direction is issued to the Senior Superintendent of Police at Cuttack to respond to the query raised by the respondents by the letter dated 10.11.2023. The response be furnished to the respondents within two weeks of the receipt of this order of this Court.
Copy of this order be forwarded by the Registry to the Senior Superintendent of Police at Cuttack for compliance.
In view of the above, petition is disposed of in the above terms.
