Mr. Onkar Singh, Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the non-applicant/petitioner. He states that the petitioner has already retired from service.

This review application has been filed on the ground that certain documents could not be brought on record of the case.

Counsel for the applicants has stated that even otherwise before the decision of the writ petition, the petitioner had already been declared senior to respondent No.2 and had in fact been promoted and thereafter retired and this fact had not been brought on the record by the petitioner.

It may be noticed that the writ petition was filed as far back as 4.3.1991. Written statement was filed on May 23, 1991. Ultimately, the writ petition came to be decided on 10.5.2011 after exactly 20 years. Now it is not open for the applicants/respondents to pray that certain documents could not be placed on record earlier and as a result thereof the order has to be reviewed. Secondly, since the petitioner has already retired on promotion, in any case no useful purpose would be served by reviewing the order. Consequently, this review application is dismissed.
