M. Jaichandren, J.—Heard Mr. G.R. Swaminathan, the learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioners, as well as Mr. K.M. Vijaya Kumar, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the Respondent.

At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the Respondent had placed a Certificate before this Court, from the Assistant Engineer, Town Panchayat, Mannachanallur (Group) Union, Kallakudi, which reads as follows:

Certified that the construction of drainage from Kallakudi Town Panchayat Office to Dalmia Cement Bharat Ltd Staff''s cycle stand has completed. Bill is now being prepared and the amount not yet been released. The work has carried out under Namakku Nama Scheme 2009-2010, allotted by the District Collector, Trichirappalli.

The learned Special Government Pleader had also submitted that substantial steps have been taken to maintain the drainage, under the Namakku Nama Thittam, 2009-2010.

In view of the statements made in the certificate placed before this Court, substantial steps have been taken to maintain the drainage, under the Namakku Nama Thittam, 2009-2010. by the learned Special Government Pleader and in view of the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the Respondent, since, no further orders are necessary in the present writ petition, the writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
