Insurer Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is the petitioner. Respondent-complainant along with her husband took a life insurance policy from LIC for a sum of Rs. 25,000/-. Husband of the respondent unfortunately died on 29-10-1992. Last date of the due premium was 28-9-1992. According to LIC premium should have been paid within a grace period of one month thereafter i.e., 28-10-1992. LIC repudiated the claim of the widow as according to it there was delay of one day. On complaint filed by the respondent, District Forum calculated that the grace period continued till 29-10-1992 and held that the respondent was entitled to amount of the policy. LIC took the matter to the Orissa State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission which dismissed the appeal upholding decision of the District Forum. Aggrieved, LIC has come to the National Commission. We do not think it is a fit case for us to exercise our jurisdiction under clause (b) of Section 21 of the Act. 2. Revision Petition is dismissed.
