Revision petitions no. 3647 of 2012 and no. 3648 of 2012 were decided vide this Commission’s Order dated 01.04.2022. The instant review applications no. 103 of 2022 and no. 110 of 2022 seek review of the said Order.

We have perused the record including inter alia the Order dated 01.04.2022 of this Commission and the review applications no. 103 of 2022 and no. 110 of 2022.

The Order dated 01.04.2022 is self-speaking, and is reproduced below for ready reference.

ORDER

1.

Further to the Order dated 11.03.2022 the learned counsel for the petitioner LIC submits, on instructions, that these matters have been settled with the respondent.

2.

No comments of this Commission on the contents and ingredients of the settlement said to have been arrived at.

3.

The learned counsel further submits, on instructions, that the petitioner LIC does not wish to pursue the two petitions any more.

4.

In the wake of the above submissions, the instant revision petitions no. 3647 of 2012 and no. 3648 of 2012 are dismissed, without the option to file them again before this Commission.

5.

The Registry is requested to send a copy each of this Order to the parties in the two petitions and to their learned counsel immediately. The stenographer is also requested to upload this Order on the website of this Commission immediately.

We see no error apparent or any reason evident to re-open the matter in review.

However we feel it appropriate to observe that since it transpires that the matter was disposed of on the basis of settlement, the decision in this case shall not be treated as a precedent.

The Registry is requested to send a copy each of this Order to the parties and to their learned counsel immediately. The stenographer is also requested to upload this Order on the website of this Commission immediately.
