The petitioner was issued with passport on 9.2.2015 in the name of Laxminarayana Ujar and the passport is valid till 8.2.2025.
The petitioner submitted an application with the respondent No.2 for issuance of passport. The petitioner's application was not processed due to difference in the name of the petitioner in the adharcard, and the passport was issued in favour of the petitioner.
The petitioner is seeking a directive to issue passport in the name of the petitioner following the application dated 18.10.2024.
The learned Deputy Solicitor General of India representing the respondents submits that passport will be issued in the name following the application dated 18.10.2024 subject to police verification.
The said submission is placed on record.
Therefore, the petition stands disposed of directing the respondent No.2 to issue passport to the petitioner following the application dated 18.10.2024.
The petitioner to be present before the Office of Passport, Lalbagh Road, Bengaluru on 11.11.2024.
