P. Sam Koshy, J
The claim of the petitioner in the present Writ Petition is that the petitioner has not been paid the benefits of the 7th Pay Commission which the
petitioner is otherwise entitled for. The petitioner is said to have retired from the post of lecturer with effect from 31.01.2016.
According to the petitioner initially there was an order of recovery against the petitioner which this Court in WPS No. 3271 of 2017 decided on
18.05.2018 had allowed and the recovery orders were quashed.
According to the petitioner since the recovery order has been quashed there is no further impediment on the part of respondents in not releasing the
benefits of the 7th Pay Commission to the petitioner.
Given the said facts, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would serve if the Writ Petition itself is disposed off with a direction to the
respondents No.2 and 3 to promptly scrutinize the claim of the petitioner for grant of benefits of the 7th Pay Commission at the earliest and finalize the
same within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Unless he is otherwise not entitled for the same under the Rules.
It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise the respondents No. 2 & 3 so far as the order passed by this Court.
