Judgment

This is an application for condonation of delay of 38 days in filing the Appeal against the Judgment of conviction dated 11.02.2025 and Order of sentence dated 12.02.2025, passed by the learned Sessions Judge, East Jaintia Hills District Khliehriat in Sessions Case No. 16 of 2021, whereby the applicant/appellant has been convicted for the offence under Section-376 IPC, and sentenced to undergo 10(ten) years of rigorous imprisonment accompanied with a fine.
We have perused the application for condonation and though a private respondent has also been arrayed as party, we are satisfied that sufficient cause has been made out in explaining the delay.
Mr. K. Khan, learned AAG assisted by Mr. A.H. Kharwanlang, learned Addl. Sr. GA for the respondent No. 1, also has no objection to the condonation, as prayed.
Accordingly, the prayer is allowed and the delay of 38 days, is condoned. Registry to diarize and register the Appeal.
Misc. Case stands disposed of.
