Judgment
When these matters are taken up for consideration, it has been submitted by Shri A. Mohendro, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the
petitioner has expired on 23-1-2021 in respect of which the counsel has addressed a letter to the Registrar (Judl.), High Court of Manipur informing
officially about the death of the petitioner.
In view of sub-section 2 of Section 112 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the fact about the death of the petitioner is to be published in
such a manner as it may deem fit and accordingly, the Registry is directed to cause the fact about the death of the petitioner be published in two local
dailies â€" one, in vernacular and another, in English within a week from today. After the fact about the death of the petitioner having been published
in the newspapers, the Registry shall prepare a report enclosing therewith copies of the newspapers so that further proceedings can be taken up by
this Court accordingly. List the matters on 8-3-2021 for further proceedings.
Copies of this order shall be sent to the counsel appearing for the parties through their WhatsApp/e-mail.
