Judgment
Namit Kuumar, J
By way of present writ petitionn, petitioner is seeking a writ in the nature of mandamus directing responddents No.2 and 3 to decide the charge-sheet dated 11.05.2023 (Annexure P-1), pending against him under Rule 8 of thhe Punjab Civil Services (Punisshment & Appeal) Rules, 1970,, expeditiouslly.
On the last date of hearing i.e. 29.11.2025, the following order was passed:-
“On receipt of advancce copy of the petition, Mr. Satnampreet Singh Chauhan,, D.A.G., Punjab has put in appearance on behalf of the reespondents-State and seeks time to get instructions with regard to the status of the chargesheet and in how much time, the same shall be concluded.
Adjourned to 05.12.20255.”
Learned State counsel, on instructions from Jagroop Singh, Senior Assistant, Food and Supplies Department, Punjab, who is present in Court, submits that the inquiry proceedings against the petitioner shall be concluded within a period of four months from today.
In view of the said statement, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition.
Dismissed as not pressed.
