Judgment

Applicant Kunal alias Badal is in judicial custody in FIR/Case Crime No. 0159 of 2020, under Section 376 (2) (n), 376 (3), 452, 506 IPC and Section 5 (1)/6 of Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Act, 2012, Police Station Khanpur, District Haridwar. He has sought short term bail on the ground of marriage of his sister on 21.02.2023.
It is argued that the applicant is the only brother of his sister and his sister’s marriage is scheduled for 21.02.2023.
Learned State counsel, under instructions would confirm the marriage of the sister of the applicant on 21.02.2023.
Without adverting to the merits, purely on humanitarian ground, this Court is of the view that the applicant may be enlarged on short term bail for a period of three days.
Let the applicant be released on short term bail for a period of three days, from the date of his release, subject to his furnishing only a personal bond Rs.10,000/- to the satisfaction of the court concerned.
After expiry of the period of short term bail, the applicant shall surrender before the court concerned and an information shall be forwarded to this Court.
The short term bail application is allowed accordingly.
