This Writ Petition is filed seeking the following relief:

"...to issue Writ or direction, preferably Writ of Mandamus, declaring the inaction of respondent No.2, in not considering and disposing of the pending proposal for correction of the petitioner's Name, Father's Name and Religion in her S.S.C.records, forwarded by respondent No.3 vide Rc.No.2107 /A5 /SSC /2026, dated 19.06.2026, as illegal, arbitrary and violative of Article 14 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct respondents No.2 to 4 to correct the name, father's name and religion in the S.S.C. records/memo and issue the corrected memo to the petitioner in terms of the said proposal forwarded by respondent No.3..."

Heard Mr. Subba Rao Vadrevu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.Venkat Raju Goud, learned Government Pleader for School Education, appearing for the respondents. Perused the record. With their consent, this writ petition is being taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

Case of the petitioner is that she studied in Triveni School, Lakshmidevipalli, Kothagudem, and appeared for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Public Examinations conducted in March, 2026. After the examinations, some discrepancies were noticed in the school and SSC records with regard to her name, father's name and religion. Further the case of the petitioner is that her father submitted an application to the Headmaster of the concerned school along with the requisite documents. On 23.05.2026, the said Headmaster forwarded the proposal to respondent No.4, who examined the same and forwarded it to respondent No.3. Respondent No.3, in turn, forwarded the proposal to respondent No.2 vide proceedings, dated 19.06.2026, requesting approval and necessary orders. As no action has been taken on the said proposal till date by respondent No.2, her father submitted a representation, dated 17.07.2026 requesting its early consideration. However, the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the present writ petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's name has already been corrected in the Aadhaar Card, Birth Certificate and the change of name was published in the Official Gazette, dated 17.01.2026 and in newspapers. He further submits that the proposals were forwarded by respondent No.3 to respondent No.2 vide proceedings, dated 19.06.2026. However, no action has been taken by respondent No.2 till date. Hence, learned counsel prayed this Court to direct the respondent No.2 to pass appropriate orders on the proposals, dated 19.06.2026 forwarded by respondent No.3, in accordance with law, within a stipulated time.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for School Education submits that respondent No.2 will pass appropriate orders on the proposals, dated 19.06.2026, in accordance with law.

In view of the submissions made by the respective parties, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing respondent No.2 to act upon the proposals, dated 19.06.2026 forwarded by respondent No.3 and pass appropriate orders, strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of two (02) weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate a copy thereof to the petitioner. No costs. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.
