The petitioner aggrieved by his non-transfer under 3 per cent inter-district quota from District Chamba to District Kangra, has filed instant writ petition, claiming therein the following substantive reliefs:-

"i) That the writ in the nature of mandamus may very kindly be issued, whereby directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for his transfer from District Chamba to District Kangra under 3% quota as per the memorandum dated 10.07.2013 and notification dated 17.01.2019 of State Govt. Annexure P-1 & P-2.

ii) That the respondent No.2 may kindly be directed to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 18.09.2019, Annexure P-3 within time bound manner, as per the memorandum dated 10.07.2013 and notification dated 17.01.2019 of State Govt."

On 08.01.2020, this Court has passed the following the order:-

"Notice. Mr. J.S. Guleria, learned Deputy Advocate General appears and accepts service of notice on behalf of the respondents.

The present is a case where the petitioner is seeking his transfer under 3% inter district quota from District Chamba to District Kangra. The application he made for the purpose is Annexure P-3. Let the respondents to file reply stating therein as to with what fate the application the petitioner made has met. List on 17.03.2020."

Learned Additional Advocate General on the basis of instructions submits that the case of the petitioner is covered under the aforesaid 3 per cent quota and his case for transfer will be considered immediately after the lockdown is over and ban on transfers is lifted. His statement is taken on record.

In view of the aforesaid statement, the instant petition has been rendered infructuous and disposed of as such alongwith pending application(s), if any, The parties are left to bear their own costs.

The parties shall not insist upon for obtaining certified copy of this order and shall download the same from the website of the High Court. However, the Registry is directed to send copy of this order to learned counsel for the parties through email subject to their furnishing email address, if so required.
