The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus as against the respondents 1 and 2 to issue Degree Certificate of daughter of the petitioner without waiting for the convocation.
According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner's daughter namely, S.Asvika, bearing Register Number 22BBT007 had passed Bachelor Degree in B.Sc., (Biotechnology). She was issued with Provisional Certificate. However, it is the grievance of the writ petitioner that for joining University in a foreign country, they are insisting upon the Degree Certificate.
The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent/University submitted that before convocation is conducted Degree Certificate could not be issued to any one of the students, who passed the examination. Therefore, according to him, Certificate would be issued to the writ petitioner's daughter to the effect that his daughter cleared the examination and after convocation is conducted, Degree Certificate would be issued.
The petitioner is directed to apply for such Certificate issued by the University. In case, if any such application is filed, the University is directed to issue Certificate on or before 24.12.2025.
With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
