S. Siri Jagan, J.—The Petitioner is working as Assistant Taluk Supply Officer. It appears that at some point of time, the Petitioner was deputed to the Civil Supplies Corporation. Disciplinary proceedings are pending against the Petitioner in respect of the period of service with the Civil Supplies Corporation. On the ground of the tendency of the disciplinary proceedings, the Petitioner''s name is not included in the select list for further promotion. It is under the above circumstances, the Petitioner has filed this writ petition.

2.

The Petitioner now submits that the Respondents may be directed to complete the disciplinary proceedings within a time frame insofar as the Petitioner is due to retire within 9 months'' time. The learned Government Pleader submits that the Government can complete the disciplinary proceedings only after getting remarks from the 5th Respondent and therefore the 5th Respondent may be directed to forward their remarks within a time frame.

3.

Having heard the learned Counsel for the Petitioner, the learned Government Pleader and the learned Counsel for the additional 5th Respondent, this writ petition is disposed of with the following directions:

4.

The 5th Respondent shall forward to the 2nd Respondent their remarks within a period of 3 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Respondents 1 to 4 shall see that the disciplinary proceedings against the Petitioner initiated by Ext.
