The case of the proseuction is that the deceased Sridhar went missing on 29.09.2026 and was subsequently found dead with electrocution injuries near Thangavel’s land on 01.10.2026. The prosecution alleges that A1 behaved suspiciously when questioned and that A3 had installed an illegal electric fence, which allegedly caused the deceased’s death. Hence, a case was registered.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner has been in judicial custody since 04.10.2026. He also further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the Petitioner.
The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) strongly opposed the bail petition, submitting that the deceased was found dead due to electrocution and that A3 had allegedly installed the illegal electric fence. He further submitted that the circumstances surrounding the occurrence raised suspicion against the accused. Hence, he sought dismissal of the bail petition.
I have given my anxious consideration to either side submissions and perused the materials available on record.
