Judgment
Justice Kurian Joseph, C.J.—The petition is filed with the following relief:
(i) That writ of certiorari may be issued against the respondents with a prayer to set aside and quash the Annexure P-14 and P-17 and the respondents may be directed not to charge inspection fee of a sum of Rs. 35,000/- as mentioned in Annexure P-14 & P-17.
(ii) That writ of mandamus may kindly be issued against the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for permanent affiliation to run B.Ed. courses so that it may be able to seek its inclusion in the UGC list of colleges under 2(f) and 12-B of the U.G.C. Act, 1956.
(iii) That the respondents may also kindly be directed to hold the counselling of the petitioner-institution alongwith their permanent affiliated institution for the purpose of admission of B.Ed. courses for the session 2008-09.
There will be a direction to the second respondent to look into the grievances of the petitioner and take appropriate action in accordance with law, if not already taken, within a period of 3 months from the date of production of a copy of this judgment by the petitioner before the second respondent. In case the petitioner requests for an opportunity for hearing, the same shall also be granted. In that process, it shall also be considered by the second respondent that the affiliation fee is only for one time and the same is not to be charged every year.
With the above observations, writ petition stands disposed of, so also the pending application (s), if any.
