Judgment
Arvind Singh Sangwan, J
This is a petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for issuance of direction to official respondents to provide special police protection to the petitioner who is facing trial in FIR No. 66 dated 22.03.2018 under Sections 302, 307 and 34 of the IPC and Section 25 of the Arms Act, registered at Police Station Barauda, District Sonepat, Haryana as well as FIR Nos.78/2018, 669/2018, 442/2018 and 375/2018 in various Districts.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is involved in number of other cases in different Districts i.e. Rohtak, Sonepat, Karnal and Chandigarh and for the purpose of appearance before the Courts, the petitioner is to be transported from District Prison, Karnal to other places and since petitioner is facing threat to his life and liberty, the jail authorities be directed to provide special police protection like special police guards and a bullet proof police van to produce him before the competent Court of law.

Mr. Sumit Jain, Addl. A. G., Haryana, who is also present through video conferencing, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.
Learned State counsel submits that considering the threat perceptions to all the under trials or the convicts, the jail authorities are taking proper and appropriate protection measures for their safety and security.
Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of as no specific direction can be issued to provide a special police guard and a bullet proof police van to the petitioner as it is the prerogative of the police/jail authorities to decide the same looking into the threat perceptions, if any.
