WPSS No. 2641 of 2015 filed by the petitioner was allowed vide order dated 01.05.2017. By the said order, letter dated 03.11.2015, impugned in the
writ petition, was quashed and Public Service Commission was directed to recommend petitioner’s name to the appointment authority, so that
appointing authority may appoint her, if she was found fit.
Alleging non-compliance of the said order, this contempt petition has been filed.
Mr. B.D. Kandpal, learned counsel for opposite party no. 2 has produced in Court the interim order dated 25.08.2017 passed by Division Bench in
SPA No. 553 of 2017. The said order is taken on record.
Perusal of the said order indicates that the final order passed by Writ Court has been stayed till the next date of listing. This Court has been
apprised by learned counsel for opposite party no. 2 that the said interim order passed in appeal is still operating.
In such view of the matter, contempt petition is closed. Notices issued to the opposite parties are hereby discharged. However, petitioner shall be at
liberty to approach the Contempt Court, if the appeal is decided in her favour.
