Judgment

Heard Mr. Ng. Jotindra Luwang, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.
Issue notice, returnable within 3(three) weeks.
As Mrs. L. Monomala, learned G.A., entered appearance and accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents, no formal notice is called for.
It is the case of the petitioner that by an order dated 11.11.2024 passed by the Under Secretary (Vety. & A.H.), Government of Manipur, the petitioner was placed under suspension in contemplation of a departmental enquiry and in exercise of the power conferred under Rule 10(1)(a) of the CCS(CCA) Rules, 1965.
It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the period of suspension of the petitioner was not extended by the authorities after expiry of 90 days in terms of the provision as provided under Rule 10(6) of the said CCS(CCA) Rules and as such by virtue of the operation of the provision under sub-rule (7) of Rule 10 of the CCS(CCA) Rules, the impugned suspension order has been rendered invalid.
The learned counsel, accordingly, prays for passing an interim order for suspending the operation of the impugned order.
Mrs. L. Monomala, learned G.A. appearing for the respondents, seeks 2(two) weeks’ time to get instructions from the authorities as to whether the period of suspension of the petitioner had been extended after the expiry of 90 days as provided under the aforesaid CCS Rules.
As prayed for by the learned G.A., list these cases again on 09.07.2025 on which date the learned G.A. is directed to place the instructions as directed by this Court without fail.
Prayer for passing interim order will be considered on the next date.
