Judgment
Petitioners claim that they have attained majority and married against the wishes of their family members. The marriage being inter caste marriage, apprehending threat to their life and liberty, they have filed the present petition for protection. It is stated that though petitioner No. 1 is a Muslim, however, at the time of marriage, she has embraced Sikhism.
Petitioners claim to have submitted a representation (Annexure P-5) dated 30.11.2019, in this regard, to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala.

The petitioners have placed on record copies of their Aadhar Cards (Annexures P-1 and P-2) as proof of their age as well as copy of certificate as Annexure P3 and six photographs on three sheets as Annexure P-4, regarding performance of marriage.
This petition is disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala, to look into the representation Annexure P-5 dated 30.11.2019 and ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioners.
However, it is made clear that this order shall not be treated as stamp of the Court about the marriage of the parties and no opinion regarding the validity of the marriage has been expressed.
