The present petition has been filed by the petitioner, seeking following substantive reliefs:-

“(i) The respondents may kindly be directed to carry out necessary amendment in the Recruitment and Promotion Rules to the effect for maintaining separate carder of Hotel Assistant and Laboratory Attendant.

(ii) That the impugned seniority list circulated in pursuant to memorandum dated 21.08.2018 Annexure A-5 may kindly be quashed and set aside.

(iii) That the respondent may further be directed to promote the applicant w.e.f. 31.10.2014 the day on which he has completed 8 years of regular service as Laboratory Attendant with all consequential benefits arising out of the service rendered by the applicant with interest from due date.”

The tentative seniority list of the Laboratory Assistant and Hostel Attendant was issued vide memorandum dated 21.08.2018. Against the aforesaid seniority list, petitioner had filed a representation. The representation so made by the petitioner is appended alongwith the petition as Annexure A-6 dated 12.09.2018. Till date, the representation so made against the tentative seniority list has not been addressed by the respondent-university. As a result thereof, no seniority list has been issued till date.

In the interest of justice, it would be appropriate if the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent-University to consider the representation so filed by the petitioner against the tentative seniority list, at the earliest/as expeditiously as possible.

Needless to say, if the present petitioner is aggrieved by the final seniority list, then he can pursue his remedy, in accordance with law.

In view of aforesaid, present petition is disposed of, so also, pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
