Judgment
Heard learned counsel for the parties.
The present appeals have been filed by the appellants
aggrieved against the quantum of compensation awarded by the
Tribunal. In all the cases, the Tribunal has awarded lump sum
compensation towards the injuries suffered by the claimants
besides the amount of medicines, regarding which, the bills were
exhibited by the claimants.
After hearing learned counsel for the parties and with the
consent of the parties, the respondent Insurance Company is
directed to pay a further lump sum compensation of Rs. 15,000/-
each to the appellants in S.B. Civil Misc. Appeal Nos. 347/2015,
346/2015, 348/2015 & 1160/2015 and in S.B. Civil Misc. Appeal
No. 351/2015 pay a further lump sum compensation of
Rs. 7,000/- to the appellant.
In view of the submissions made and with the consent of the parties, the appeals are disposed of. The amount of enhanced
lump sum compensation be paid by the respondent Insurance
Company within a period of six weeks to the appellants in their
saving bank accounts.
