S. Siri Jagan, J.—The Petitioners claim to be the only legal heirs of late M.A. Sreedharan, who died while in service as a Fitter Grade II in the Electrical Division, Kerala State Electricity Board, Aluva, on 2.11.1985. There was a dispute regarding the eligibility for retirement benefits due to late M.A. Sreedharan between the Petitioners on the one hand and one Smt. Thankamma. The Petitioners obtained a succession certificate in favour of the Petitioners for claiming ` 4,94,946/- being the terminal benefits due to the Petitioners in respect of the service of late M.A. Sreedharan. The Petitioners'' grievance is that despite production of the succession certificate, the Petitioners are not being paid the benefits due to them on the basis of the succession certificate.

2.

The learned standing counsel appearing for the Kerala State Electricity Board submits that the claim is being processed on the basis of the succession certificate and final orders would be passed within two weeks. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Respondents to see that the benefits due to the Petitioners as the legal heirs of late M.A. Sreedharan are disbursed to the Petitioners, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within two weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment. Needless to say, the claim of the 1st Petitioner for family pension on the death of M.A. Sreedharan shall also be considered and orders passed within the said period.
