M. Jaichandren, J.—This writ petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the Respondents to open the fishery rights tender applications called for the years 2010 -2013, in Madurai District, in the presence of the Commissioner appointed by this Court.

2.

It has been stated that the Petitioner is one of the participants in the tender for fishery rights for 31 tanks in Madurai District. The last date for submitting the filled tenders was 13.10.2010. The Petitioner has filed the present writ petition, on the apprehension that tenders had been received by the Respondents, after the last date for receiving the said tenders i.e. on 13.10.2010. The Petitioner has preferred the present writ petition before this Court, praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the Respondents to open the tenders in the presence of the Commissioner appointed by this Court.

3.

In view of the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition and in view of the submissions made by the learned Counsels appearing on behalf of the Petitioner, as well as the Respondents, this Court does not find sufficient cause or reason to grant the relief, as prayed for by the Petitioner, in the present writ petition. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed. However, it would be open to the Petitioner, to challenge the final result, if he is aggrieved by the same, before the appropriate authority or forum, in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
