The writ petition is filed to direct the first respondent bank to accept the overdue amount in loan accounts of the petitioner and regularise the loan accounts.
When the writ petition came up for consideration on 05.05.2023, this Court directed further proceedings to be deferred subject to the condition that the petitioner deposits an amount of Rs.2/- lakh within two weeks from the above date of order.
Heard; Sri. Santhosh P. Poduval, the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri.A.S.P. Kurup, the learned Counsel appearing for the respondents.
Sri.Santhosh P. Poduval submitted that pursuant to the interim orders passed by this Court, the petitioner approached the first respondent bank and has paid the entire overdue amount. Therefore, all the needs to be done by the first respondent bank is to regularise the loan account.
The said submission is endorsed by Sri.A.S.P. Kurup.
In the light of the fact that the petitioner has already paid the overdue amount, I am of the view that nothing further survives in the writ petition.
Resultantly, the writ petition is closed by directing the first respondent bank to regularise the loan account in view of the fact that the petitioner has paid the entire overdue amount.
