1 Vide impugned office order dated 7th April, 2017 (Annexure P-1), the first petitioner, who was Staff Car Driver on contractual basis, stands relieved
upon expiry of his contractual tenure.
2 Overdue allowances to the tune of Rs. 50,000/- qua the first petitioner and Rs. 80,000/- qua the second petitioner are also sought and prayer is also
made in this petition that directions be issued to the second respondent to expedite the selection process of staff car driver which is pending for almost
five years.
3 Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have rendered satisfactory continuous service of more than three years but their
services have been arbitrarily dispensed with and in this regard Representation (Annexure P-2 colly.) has already been made, but to no avail.
4 Despite service of advance notice, none has appeared on behalf of respondent no.2.
5 In the facts and circumstances of this case, it is deemed appropriate to dispose of this petition with permission to petitioners to make a
Representation within a week and if such a Representation is received, it be dealt with by the respondent no.2 in terms of applicable rules and
regulations by passing a reasoned order on the subject matter of the Representation within a period of six weeks. The fate of Representation be made
known to the petitioners within a week thereafter, so that they may avail of the remedy available in law, if need be.
