The present Application has been filed by the applicant-Javed for regular bail in connection with the case Crime No.63 of 2025, registered at Kotwali Roorkee, District Haridwar.

The applicant-Javed is in judicial custody under Section 3, Section 5 read with Section 11 of the Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007.

As per the First Information Report, on a secret information, the police party raided the spot on 21.02.2025. The police party recovered 250 kg of beef, one motorcycle and other articles from the spot. There were seven persons on the spot. Six persons managed to escape from the spot. The present applicant was arrested by the police party on the spot.

Heard Mr. Bilal Ahmed, learned counsel for applicant and Mr. Pratiroop Pandey, learned A.G.A. for State.

Mr. Bilal Ahmed, Advocate, contended that the applicant has been falsely implicated in this matter. Nothing was recovered from his possession. The alleged recovery is false. Applicant does not have any criminal antecedents, and, he is in custody since 21.02.2025.

Mr. Pratiroop Pandey, learned A.G.A., has opposed the bail application orally.

Having considered the submissions of learned counsel for both the parties and in the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion as to the merit of the case, this Court is of the view that the applicant deserves bail at this stage.

The Bail Application is allowed.

Let the applicant – Javed be released on bail on his executing a personal bond and furnishing two reliable sureties, each in the like amount, to the satisfaction of the court concerned.
