The petitioner seeks emergency parole of four weeks for medical treatment.

Learned ASC accepts notice and strongly opposes the petition taking me through order dated 17.07.2026 of coordinate bench by which the earlier writ petition of the petitioner was disposed of, observing that he is not entitled to grant of regular parole till December 2026. That having been so, the petitioner has filed the present petition now seeking emergency parole.

In response to a specific query, it is submitted by learned counsel for petitioner that till date petitioner has not filed any application before the competent authority for grant of emergency parole.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of directing the respondent to treat the present petition as representation of the petitioner for grant of emergency parole and decide the same within four weeks from today.

However in the meanwhile, the jail authorities shall ensure best possible medical treatment to the petitioner.
