This is a petition seeking regular bail in case of FIR No.158 dated 11.7.2017, under Section 22 of NDPS Act, 1985, registered at Police Station Meharban District Ludhiana.

Learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer and submits that statement of accused under Section 313 Cr.P.C. was recorded on 17.2.2020 and thereafter the trial is not progressing as the accused-Gurnam lodged in Bathinda Jail and accused-Jaswant Kumar @ Billa lodged in Ludhiana Jail, are not being produced.

Learned State counsel appearing on advance notice submits that presence of accused if so required would be ensured before the trial Court and otherwise they would be produced through Video Conferencing.

In view of statement made by learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of.

Considering that the FIR is of 2017 and accused are in custody, there is no doubt that the trial Court concerned with the cooperation of the parties will make earnest effort to conclude the trial expeditiously.

Since the main case has been disposed of, the pending application, if any is rendered infructuous.
