This writ petition is filed challenging Ext.P1 order of detention issued under Section 3(1) of the Kerala Anti Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 2007.
When the matter is taken up, it is submitted by Sri.M.H. Hanis, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that by order dated 25.7.2024, the Government in consideration of the opinion of the Advisory Board has revoked the order of detention. The learned counsel submits that in spite of the revocation order, the detenu has not so far been released.

In view of the revocation order passed by the Government, nothing further survives in this writ petition. However, since the petitioner has a grievance that the detenu has not been released, there will be a direction to the concerned Jail Superintendent, Central Prison, Kannur, to release the detenu forthwith, if his detention is not required in connection with any other case. The Registry shall also forward a copy of the judgment to the Jail Superintendent, Central Prison, Kannur, forthwith.
