Heard Mr. Praveen K. Joy, learned counsel for the petitioner.

These OP(RC)s have been filed seeking expeditious disposal of the RCPs pending before the Rent Control Court, Thiruvananthapuram.

We take note of the dictum laid down by this Court in Irvin John Jayarajan and Others v. Madhavi alias Narayani Amma and Others^{11.2022 (7) KHC 1}, wherein all Rent Control Courts were directed to dispose of Rent Control Petitions within a period of three months. The e-court status produced along with these OP(RC)s reveals that the RCPs were instituted as early as in the year 2021 and that the matters had been adjourned from time to time.

Taking note of the dictum laid down in Irvin John Jayarajan (supra) and the fact that the rent control petitions have been pending since 2021, we deem it fit and proper to dispose of these OP(RC)s by directing the Rent Control Court, Thiruvananthapuram, to dispose of the RCPs on or before 10.04.2026.

In view of the nature of the order passed, we do not propose to issue notice to the respondents.

Accordingly, the OP(RC)s are disposed of.
