Learned counsel for the petitioners argues that the written examination which was held on 06.12.2020 for selecting the candidates for appointment to

the posts of Principals, Head Masters/Head Mistresses and Block Primary Education Officers in the Department of School Education of the

Government of Punjab, was not held in accordance with the instructions which have been issued for the conduct of the same as according to the

petitioners, most of the questions which formed part of the question paper, were beyond the prescribed syllabus.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the said grievance has alreay been brought to the notice of the respondents initially vide representation

dated 10.12.2020 (Annexure P-10) and thereafter, by serving a legal notice on 23.12.2020 (Annexure P-11) but no decision has been taken on the

same so far by the respondent Commission.

Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that the petitioners will be satisfied at this stage, in case, a direction is issued to respondent No.4 to

decide the legal notice dated 23.12.2020 (Annexure P-11) in a time bound manner by passing an appropriate speaking order.

Notice of motion.

Ms. Ambika Bedi, A.A.G., Punjab appears and accepts notice on behalf of the respondents-State. She raises no objection for deciding the legal notice

dated 23.12.2020 (Annxure P-11) dated in a time bound manner.

Without going into merits of the case and expressing any opinion on the claim being raised by the petitioners in the present writ petition or in the

representation/legal notice, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4 to decide the legal notice dated 23.12.2020

(Annexure P-11) within a period of six weeks from the receipt of the copy of this order by passing an appropriate speaking order.
