It is not in dispute that the appellant — claimant suffered injuries in the accident which took place on 15.02.2013. His right leg was operated upon.,
Plates were affixed and he remained on complete bed rest for two months. PW4 Dr. Ashish Gupta testified in this respect. Learned Tribunal has,
treated the petitioner as a skilled labourer earning Rs.7924/- i.e. minimum wages prescribed by the State of Punjab at that time.,
In this view of the matter, it is considered just and expedient to afford compensation of Rs.15,000/- instead of Rs.6,000/- on account of loss of income,",
Rs.50,000/- instead of Rs.20,000/- for pain and suffering and Rs.20,000/-instead of Rs.10,000/- for loss of amenities. Rest of the compensation",
awarded by the learned Tribunal is maintained. He is, thus, entitled to Rs.1,48,159/-.",
No other argument has been raised. The amount of compensation already awarded to the appellants, needless to say, shall stand deducted from the",
amount calculated as above. Appellant/claimant shall be entitled to interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum on the enhanced amount from the date of,
filing of the petition till realization.,
With the abovesaid modification in the amount of compensation, FAO No. 1562 of 2015 is disposed of. FAO No. 8616 of 2014 is allowed",
