Judgment
Application for impleadment filed by SGPC is allowed whereas no orders on other applications for intervention and impleadment and the same are disposed of as such.
We have heard the matter on several occasions. The main prayer of the petitioner is that the Government of India should lay down norms in respect of Sikhs when they participate in competitions even if the events are private.
We find that it would be appropriate if the petitioner is permitted to make a representation to the Government of India in this regard.
We, accordingly, direct the petitioner to make a representation to the Ministry of Youth affairs and Sports, Government of India, which shall decide the representation after giving a hearing to the petitioner and, in addition, SGPC, which can throw light on the subject, within one year of making the representation.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
