Meenakshi Madan Rai, J

This Public Interest Litigation was registered on a letter addressed to the Hon'ble Chief Justice of this High Court on 04-11-2019 by the public of Lower Luing, East Sikkim, submitting therein that they are deprived of proper electricity and water connection, the basic necessities of life.

Vide a status report filed on 27-03-2021 the State-Respondents have submitted therein that the residents of Lower Luing, East Sikkim, are now getting uninterrupted electricity and water supply. It is submitted by Learned Additional Advocate General that since the State Government has redressed the grievances of the Petitioners, in such circumstances the matter may be disposed of.

Learned Amicus Curiae concedes that now there is uninterrupted electricity and water supply available to the residents of Lower Luing, East Sikkim which include the Petitioners.

Having perused the report of the State-Respondents and given due consideration to the submissions of Learned Counsel and further considering that the grievance of the Petitioners have been duly addressed by the State-Respondents, nothing further remains for adjudication in the instant matter.

WP(PIL) No.15 of 2019 stands disposed of accordingly.
