In terms of our earlier order dated 18th May 2020, learned District Judge, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Ms. Kriti Garg, Secretary, Health Department and Ms. Gitika Sharma, Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Port Blair are present. The Union Territories is also represented by Mr. Krishna Rao, the Government Pleader.

Ms. Sharma has filed a comprehensive affidavit of compliance. We have gone through the said affidavit and we are satisfied with the steps taken by the administration in terms of our earlier orders as well as the directions passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court.

We have been assured by the Secretary, Health Department and the Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Port Blair that they would continue with the measures taken to ensure the safety and security of the children in all the homes.

The affidavit of compliance is taken on record.

The next date of hearing will be notified later.

.We have heard the learned Advocate General.

The Joint Secretary, Health Department is also participated in the Video Conference.

We have received an affidavit of compliance from the Secretary, Department of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal as also various compliance reports from other Institutional State Holders.

The learned Advocate General submits that he has not been provided with those reports and showed his inability to make any submissions thereupon and requested us to share those reports.

In view of the same, let all reports including affidavit of compliance received by the office through e-mail in terms of our earlier order dated 13th May 2020 be supplied to the learned Advocate General latest by 5th June 2020.

We feel that a supplementary affidavit is required to be filed by the Secretary, Department of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare through the learned Advocate General by 8th June 2020 in relation to paragraph 3 and sub-paragraphs thereunder and other necessary details as indicated to the learned Advocate General during the course of hearing. The Secretary, Health Department shall also file an affidavit of compliance by 8th June 2020.

Let this matter be listed for further hearing on 10th June 2020 at 12 noon.

The concerned Registrar is directed to supply all the reports and affidavits received by the office in terms of our earlier order dated 13th May 2020 to the learned Advocate General and to notify the date of hearing to all the State Holders well in advance.
