This writ petition is filed seeking the following reliefs:-

i. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus or other appropriate writ directing the 3rd respondent to consider Exhibit P3 application

and determine the stamp duty payable for registering the Constitution of the petition church, a time frame fixed by this Hon’ble court;

ii. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus or other appropriate writ directing the 4th respondent to register the Constitution of the

petition church with the prescribed stamp duty as determined by the 3rd respondent.

I have heard Sri. Saijo Hassan, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.

When this matter was taken up on 19.1.2010, it was submitted by the learned Government Pleader that the District Registrar has forwarded the

documents to the jurisdictional authority under Section 54(2) to ascertain the amount of duty with which the instrument is chargeable.

Today when the matter was taken up, it submitted that the decision has been taken and the same has been conveyed to the Sub Registrar,

Kallettumkara. In that view of the matter, I direct the petitioner to approach the 4th respondent, who is directed to act in accordance with the

procedure and law.

This writ petition is disposed of.
