Judgment
The present petition is filed by the college and students seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondent - University to approve the admissions of petitioners No.2 to 5 who stated to have admitted for the 1st year Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) course.
It is the case of the petitioners that the petitioner No.1 - Institution though has obtained requisite permission from the Government and affiliation insofar as the admission process is concerned, there was some delay in uploading the detail of students in the web-portal of the respondent -University within 10.01.2026. It is further asserted that such delay in uploading was due to technical error. It is further submitted that immediate representation was made detailing the list of students which was enclosed along with such representation.
It is further submitted that despite reminders, no decision is taken in that regard while there are examinations scheduled. Accordingly, it is submitted that the respondent -University could be directed to consider the representation and pass appropriate orders and may also approve the admissions of petitioners No.2 to 5.
Learned counsel for the respondent - University submits that they would look into the representation and facts made out and take an appropriate decision as is permissible and such decision would be taken immediately in light of impending examination.
Accordingly, noticing the said stand of the respondent, the petition is disposed of directing the respondent to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioners regarding approval of admission as regards the petitioners.
