Having taken note of the very innocuous prayer made on behalf of the petitioners to provide them adequate security, on account of threats being received by them from respondents Nos. 5 to 10, for the reason that the petitioners, who follow different faiths, have contracted marriage with each other, there appears to be no requirement to call for a reply from the State, which is accordingly dispensed with.

Learned Senior Additional Advocate General, while appearing for respondents Nos. 1 to 4, fairly states that the necessary protection, if required, shall be provided to the petitioners, on their making a representation in this regard to the appropriate authority.

Consequently, in view of above, present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to provide adequate security to the petitioners, if they seek the same. However, tenure of such protection shall be initially for one month, which shall be extended further, if required.

Petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms, alongwith all pending applications.
