1 In the present writ petition, the petitioners have challenged the decision taken by the respondents vide circular letter dated 14.09.2017 (Annexure P-4), whereby, the mandatory condition of passing PSTET-2 examination for being eligible for promotion from the post of ETT/JBT Teachers to the Master cadre, has been relaxed by the respondents, in violation of Notification dated 23.08.2010 (Annexure P-1/2).

A written request has been circulated on behalf of learned counsel for the petitioners on the ground that the arguing counsel is unwell. However, Mr. Gagandeep Sandhu, Advocate appears on behalf of the arguing counsel i.e. Mr. H.C. Arora, Advocate and submits that similar writ petition i.e. CWP-18094-2018 titled as Inderjeet Singh and another Vs. State of Punjab and others, filed in this Court was disposed of vide order dated 02.02.2026.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the present writ petition may also be disposed of in terms of the order dated 02.02.2026 passed in CWP-18094-2018.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents No.1 to 3 does not oppose the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners.

In light of the abovesaid submisions, the present writ petition is disposed of in terms of the order dated 02.02.2026 passed by this Court in CWP-18094-2018.

Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stand disposed of.
