Application for placing on record Annexures P-5 to P-9 is allowed in view of the averments made in the application, duly supported by affidavit. Said documents are taken on record. Office to append the same at appropriate place.

Relief claimed in the present petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing that no demolition be undertaken against the petitioners in the Marble Market situated at Village Sarangpur, U.T. Chandigarh until the auction and development of the new sites in the proposed bulk material market in Sector-56, Chandigarh.

After arguing for some time, counsel for the petitioners does not press the present writ petition and prays for liberty to approach the competent authority in view of the liberty given on 20.07.2023 in CWP-7631-2022 titled Marble Traders Welfare Association Vs. U.T., Chandigarh & another, in para Nos.8 to 10.

Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of without opining upon the merits of the case, leaving it open to the competent authority to pass appropriate orders and also leaving it open to the petitioners to challenge the said orders, if it is adverse to them.
