Judgment
Jasjit Singh Bedi, J.
On 03.07.2026, the following order was passed by this Court:-
The prayer in the present petition under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 is for quashing of the order dated 05.02.2026 (Annexure P-1) passed by the Addl. Sessions Judge, SAS Nagar, whereby the bail of the petitioner was cancelled and his bail bonds were forfeited to the State in case FIR No.0190 dated 13.11.2020 registered under Sections 21(1), 4(1)(A) of Mines and Minerals (Regulation of Development) Act, 1957 at Police Station Kharar, District SAS Nagar, Mohali.
The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner was unaware of the next date of hearing as he was in Saudi Arabia for work. He states that he is ready and willing to join proceedings once again.

In the meanwhile, the petitioner is directed to surrender before the Trial Court within a period of one week from today subject to a deposit of Rs.25,000/- as costs with the Punjab and Haryana High Court Employees Welfare Association, Account no. 37167209613 IFSC Code:-SBIN0050306 State Bank of India, High Court Branch, Chandigarh and on his doing so he shall be admitted to interim bail to the satisfaction of the Trial Court.
Thereafter, on 21.08.2026, the following order was passed:-
Vide order dated 03.07.2026 passed by this Court, the petitioner was directed to surrender before the learned Trial Court.
Today, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that due to some reason, the petitioner could not surrender before the learned Trial Court. Hence, he prays for some time to do the needful.
In view of the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is granted further one week time from today to comply with the order dated 03.07.2026, subject to deposit of Rs.25,000/- + Rs.25,000/- additional cost, (Rs.50,000/- in total) with the Punjab and Haryana High Court Employees Welfare Association, Account no.37167209613, IFSC:-SBIN0050306 State Bank of India, High Court Branch, Chandigarh.
Adjourned to 11.09.2026.
Thereafter, on 11.09.2026 ,the following order was passed:-
None has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner.
In the interest of justice, adjourned to 14.09.2026.
To be shown in the urgent list.
Today again, none has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner.
Apparently, the petitioner has not complied with the earlier orders of surrendering and seeking the concession of bail passed by this Court.
In view of the above, the present petition stands dismissed.
